They can also be classified as internal or external haemorrhoids, depending on their location. External piles form near the outer skin of the anal opening and tend to be more painful than internal piles.

50 mg of Terminalia chebula (Harar) extract (1:3) from the fruit: Harar is known for its potential benefits in conditions like ophthalmia, haemorrhoids, bleeding gums, and mouth ulcers. Its water-based paste may have an anti-inflammatory effect on piles. It is also useful in asthma, piles, cough, wound healing, and scalds. It possesses astringent, purgative, stomachic, and laxative properties.
40 mg of Taca aspra (Suran) extract (1:5) from the fruit: Suran has analgesic, resolvent, anti-inflammatory, anti-rheumatic, astringent, cathartic, anti-phlegmatic, concoctive, alterative, aphrodisiac, carminative, laxative, desiccant, local irritant, emetic, anodyne, purgative, sedative, diuretic, and soporific properties.
40 mg of Wrightia tinctoria (Inder Jaw) extract (1:5) from the root: Inder Jaw is used in the treatment of bleeding piles. The powder of Inder Jaw is beneficial for indigestion, abdominal pain, and stimulating low digestive fire. Roasted powder of Inder Jaw is recommended for treating vomiting.
40 mg of Holarrhena antidysenterica (Kudachal) extract (1:4) from the bark: Kudachal is useful for managing bleeding piles due to its astringent property. 50 mg of Gile Armani (Arminium bole): Armenian bole, also known as bolus armenus or bole armoniac, is an earthy clay with absorbent, antiseptic, astringent, febrifuge, and refrigerant properties. It is useful in diarrhoea, dysentery, and weakness of the heart.
30 mg of Commiphora mukul (Shudh Guggal) extract from the exudate: Shudh Guggal acts as a laxative and astringent agent, facilitating the metabolism of the bioactive etiologic component of haemorrhoids, especially toxins (ama).
30 mg of Potassium alum (Sphatik Bhasma) as such: Alum has beneficial effects on piles. When injected into the piles, it narrows the wall of the blood vessels, reducing blood flow and preventing piles. It also reduces the size of the piles.
These ingredients are processed in the decoction of Tinospora cordifolia (Giloy) and Cucuma longa (Turmeric).
